NFL & NBA Re-Drafts
Why Re-Draft With Context?
Traditional re-drafts assume player outcomes are fixed — that Tom Brady would have been Tom Brady anywhere, or that Giannis would be a two-time MVP in any situation. We reject that premise entirely.
Our analyses ask a different question: "What if they landed somewhere else?"Not just "who was best," but "where would each player maximize their potential?" A quarterback drafted behind a terrible offensive line, with poor coaching and no weapons, doesn't become a Hall of Famer — regardless of talent. Context shapes careers as much as ability.
Each re-draft uses our 7-factor contextual scoring formula to calculate fit scores (0-100) for every player-team combination. The results reveal how coaching stability, supporting cast quality, developmental patience, and organizational culture determine who succeeds and who becomes a "what could have been."
